We welcome smallholder businesses to take a stand in the Smallholder Market. This will be in the main area of the Highland Hall. Space is limited for 2024 and will be allocated based on date of booking.
The smallholder market will feature market stalls with a large sales area. These will be stalls that you will typically see in farmers markets. Each stand costs £65 plus VAT.
The Smallholder Market is for smallholders and small rural businesses selling their own produce to the general public. For food and drink, you must have a hygiene approval from your local council.
We want to feature small rural businesses selling the following products:
- Meat or meat products, drinks, baked goods, preserves, dairy, eggs, and “fifth quarter” products such as fleeces, wool, skins, felt horns.
Please note that all stands will need to be approved by the organising team before the show – we would request that if your products are not related to smallholding or rural life contact us before placing an order.

Entrance wristbands
Your stand provides 2 trade wristbands for entry. These will be posted to you before the event. If you require additional wristbands please specify on the form, we will endeavour to help.
Terms and conditions
You must have read our standard terms and conditions at time of booking, and upload a risk assessment – a simple template is available on the form.
Electrical supply
If you require electricity for your stand then you will have to order at the rates provided by the electrician from the Royal Highland Centre. These are £88 plus VAT for a single socket, and £93 for a twin.
Booking process
If you intend to have any of these on your stand, please contact us as above prior to completion.
- sale or provide samples of alcohol
- live animals
- conduct raffles or games of chance
- demonstrate moving machinery or equipment
- have LPG cylinders on your stand
After booking, you will receive an email receipt automatically from the system. Please check your spam folders before contacting us in case of non-delivery.
By booking the space, you are confirming that you have all the relevant insurances and documents that we may reasonably require. This may be checked by our staff or by trading standards at the event.
