Volunteers needed

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer at Scotland’s national smallholding festival?

The organisers of the Scottish Smallholder Festival are seeking volunteers to help out at this year’s event, which will be held in the Highland Hall at the Royal Highland Centre on the 14th October.

We are looking for people who are prepared to act as general stewards, helping out where necessary at the event. Volunteers will work at information points, competition venues, demonstration points, seminar rooms, and offering crowd management if needed (note not security!)

We are looking for volunteers to work for half a day, leaving you free to spend the other half looking around and enjoying all the festival has to offer! You will receive a free ticket for the event, a £5 voucher for use at one of the food vendors, and we will provide you with a hi visibility branded gilet for the period when you are on duty. The two shifts will be 8am – 12 midday, and 11.30 am to 3.30pm. You will receive a full briefing over video and in writing in the week before the event.

If you are interested, please write to info@festival.scot before 14th August 2023.

Please note that spaces are limited and we will not be able to offer roles to everyone who applies. If you are already a member of Smallholding Scotland and therefore already eligible for tickets you will receive an additional ticket for friends or family.
