Janice Henderson from Landriggs flock in Kinross claimed the Sheep Championship and the Scottish Smallholder Festival Trophy with her Ryeland ‘Landriggs Eros’.
Judge Mr Peter Myles also placed a coloured Ryeland Ram Lamb from the Greenlea flock in Cumbria as the Reserve. Owner Joanne Fisher also won the Rosedean Salver for the best Coloured Ryeland in show..
The Best Ewe lamb was also from Janice Henderson, Kinross with a Ryeland ewe lamb ‘Landriggs Eriskay’.
The Best Wool on the Hoof (Scottish Smallholder Festival Tankard) was from Denise Palmer, Auldgirth, Dumfries. with a Shetland Ram lamb.
The Best Horns (Wester Gladstone Trophy) was from Patrick Playfair from Kelso with a Norfolk Horn Ram.
The RBST Sheep Champion was from Allan Grant. Innergellie, Anstruther with a Border Leicester ram. The Ram also went forward to the RBST Scotland National Championships where he picked up the reserve behind the Large Black Pig.
In the young Handler classes, it was a good day for the Dalgleish family who won the 8-12 year old and 12-16 year old classes, whilst the under 8 award went to C Hipwell.
