Smallholding Scotland has announced that it has set the membership for 2025 at a level of £20 including VAT.
Members will receive two tickets to the Scottish Smallholder Festival (worth £24), a member’s badge, a quarterly newsletter and for 2025 only a unique piece of branded merchandise at the Festival.
Smallholding Scotland is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the smaller producer. It has two main aims:
- To advance the education of existing and prospective smallholders
- To advance the education of the general public in relation to smallholding and its public benefit.
We believe that the best method we can use to meet these goals lies is the annual Scottish Smallholding Festival as well as supporting some initiatives that have similar goals; for example, the Charity sponsors the “Small Farm of the Year” category in the RBST Scotland Sustainable Food & Farming Awards.
Trustees have also been active in other areas, taking part in the Scottish Government backed Small Producers Pilot scheme.
Members will be able to sign up online at the Scottish Smallholder Festival website, or they can visit the charity’s stand at the Royal Highland Show on 2nd Avenue to sign up.
