Topics covered will include but not be confined to:
handling, preparation and health matters, e.g. breeds and their needs, spotting problems, how to ensure you are buying healthy sheep, vaccination programmes, worming, avoiding preventable disease, basic ‘good conformation for health’, and practical demonstrations focusing on examination of sheep, drenching, injecting, taking temperature of animal, and assessing body condition in different body types.

Caroline Robinson, SRUC
Caroline Robinson has worked for SRUC Veterinary Services as a Veterinary Investigation Officer since 2011, following 5 years in mixed practice. She has always had a keen interest in facilitating and providing animal health and welfare information to smallholders, and has enthusiastically supported the Festival since its inception.
