Thinking about branching into goats? Whether you are a beginner smallholder or an experienced keeper of other types of stock, experienced goatkeeper Agnes Aitken and SRUC vet Caroline Robinson would like to help you choose healthy stock, anticipate their needs, be aware of their differences to other stock, and keep your herd healthy and diseases at bay as you grow your herd. You may be buying in some minor mischief – but DON’T buy in big trouble. Areas covered will include housing needs, hoof care, routine treatments and vaccinations, health testing amongst others, with live goat handling demo from Agnes and her goat.
