Smallholding Scotland is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the smaller producer. It has two main aims:
- To advance the education of existing and prospective smallholders
- To advance the education of the general public in relation to smallholding and its public benefit.
We believe that the best method we can use to meet these goals lies is the annual Scottish Smallholding Festival as well as supporting some initiatives that have similar goals; for example, the Charity sponsors the “Small Farm of the Year” category in the RBST Scotland Sustainable Food & Farming Awards.
Trustees have been active in other areas, taking part in the Scottish Government backed Small Producers Pilot scheme.
The Board of Trustees has set the membership for 2025 at a level of £20 including VAT.
Members will receive two tickets to the Scottish Smallholder Festival, a members badge, a quarterly newsletter and for 2025 only a unique piece of branded merchandise at the Festival on presentation of your members badge.
And of course by paying your membership, you are helping the purpose of the charity and crucially assisting our cash flow!
Please note Membership is available to purchase through this website as well as at the Royal Highland Show where Smallholding Scotland have a stand.
