Smallholding Scotland is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the smaller producer. It has two main aims:
- To advance the education of the general public in relation to smallholding and its public benefit.
- To advance the education of existing and prospective smallholders
We believe that the best method we can use is the annual Scottish Smallholding Festival as well as supporting some initiatives that have similar goals; for example, the Charity sponsors the “Small Farm of the Year” category in the RBST Scotland Sustainable Food & Farming Awards.
The move of the Festival to the Royal Highland Centre not only presents us with an opportunity to improve our offering to our visitors, it also offers us an opportunity to reinvigorate our charity membership. We intend putting in place a ‘members room’ which will be exclusive to members and where you will be able to have a seat with free tea, coffee and snacks. We will invite speakers to drop into the members room if they want a break as well which will hopefully lead to opportunities for further dialogue.
Members will also get two entry tickets to the 2023 Festival itself and a wristband that will then give you access to the members room.
If you are going to be showing livestock at the Festival, you will also receive an automatic discount worth £5 off your cost of entry, but you must do this at the same time as you are purchasing your membership. If you do not do this, then you will pay the normal fee for entry.
And of course by paying your membership, you are helping the purpose of the charity and crucially assisting our cash flow!
Please note Membership and event tickets will only be available to purchase through this website.
So to recap:
- 2 x entry tickets
- members wristband
- £5 automatic discount against livestock entry
- access to dedicated members room
Your entry tickets / wristbands will be delivered to your shipping address before the Festival.
This offer is only available until 23:59 on the 13th October.
