Mini workshop: Strawcraft

Reserve a place on our Strawcraft mini-workshop, tutored by Elaine Lindsay of Something Corny:

• The workshop is at 10:00am in the Rural Skills demo area, on the foyer upper floor.
• The workshop will take around 1½ hours
• The cost of the session is £15 per person, and will be payable to Elaine at the event.
• Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will be able to make 2 corn dollies and learn some of the traditional techniques. They will also learn about the materials we use and the traditions associated with the Corn Dolly.

During the session Elaine will explain about the different heritage straw types she uses, how to prepare the materials and the other equipment you need.
