Sheep MOT: Practical tips for sheep keepers

Reserve a place on the Sheep MOT session:

• The session is at 2:30pm in the SRUC Theatre in the Main Hall.
• The session will take around 45 minutes
• The session is free of charge.

Topics covered will include but not be confined to:

handling, preparation and health matters, e.g. breeds and their needs, spotting problems, how to ensure you are buying healthy sheep, vaccination programmes, worming, avoiding preventable disease, basic ‘good conformation for health’, and practical demonstrations focusing on examination of sheep, drenching, injecting, taking temperature of animal, and assessing body condition in different body types.
