What’s on at the Festival

The Scottish Smallholder Festival is a great day out with something to offer anyone with an interest in small-scale food production, crafts and sustainable living.

If you’re a smallholder or crofter, a vegetable grower, allotmenteer, or an aspiring smallholder, you’ll get to meet and chew the fat with like-minded people from across Scotland and beyond, with a whole wealth of experience and knowledge to share.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are £12 per person providing you purchase before 23.59 on the 18th October.

Tickets bought online on the day of the Festival and at the gate are £18. We can accept cash or most major credit and debit cards for sales at the gate.

Where is the Festival being held?

The Festival is being held at The Highland Hall, Royal Highland Centre, EH28 8NB

Is there car parking?

There is car parking available at the venue, which is run by the Royal Highland Centre and costs £10 per car. This is outwith the control of the Scottish Smallholder Festival. Alternatively visitors can take the tram to the airport and enter through the North Gate only.

What happens if it rains?

The Festival is being held almost entirely under cover, so will be unaffected by poor weather. The food court however is outside.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are only allowed within the commercial areas and the lower foyer of the Festival, must be well-behaved and on fixed leads – extending leads are not permitted.

No dogs are allowed in the main penning area with the exception of guide dogs used for the purpose of directing the visually and hearing impaired. No dogs are allowed in the restaurant, cookery theatre or upper foyer.

If you are asked to remove your dog from an area by any steward, you must do so immediately.
