The Making of a Meadow

Room 1: 10:30am

The Lint Mill is a 13-acre certified organic smallholding in the Southern Uplands. We use regenerative agricultural practices to restore and manage our land. Three years ago, we began to regenerate a field into a meadow with the help of the Scottish Farming and Wildlife Advisors’ Group’s Birds & Bees Project.

This talk is the story of how we built soil biology and plant and animal diversity. It looks at the positive impact that this project has had on the ecology of the farm in a remarkably short space of time.
