Destria bringing a touch of movie magic to the Smallholder Festival

In a first for the Scottish Smallholder Festival, we are delighted to introduce a touch of movie magic to the main ring – Georgia Plimbley and her team from Destria, Scotland’s pioneering equestrian arts and stunts company, are joining us to inspire and amaze.

They’ll offer a rare glimpse into the extraordinary world of equestrian stunts, liberty work, and horse training for film and television.

In the main ring at 11.30 watch Georgia and the team demonstrate the fundamentals of trick riding and stunt technique using the Destria training barrel – the first step toward the thrilling performances seen on screen. Learn how horses are trained safely and ethically for the spotlight, and discover what it takes to become part of this elite craft.

Plus, don’t miss the finale of the Horse Parade, where Georgia’s magnificent Andalusian Embrujo takes his place as the closing act – a dazzling tribute to the power, beauty, and spirit of the horse.
